Outside the Chapel Network · Season 1

Soul Fuel Cafe

The arguments the internet is having this month, taken seriously and taken apart. Two hosts, a lot of research, and no interest in pretending the easy answer is the true one.

About the show

Pull up a chair. This one gets into it.

Soul Fuel Cafe takes one live cultural argument per episode and stays with it for the whole hour. One week it might be the manosphere, the next tradwives or the cost of living, whether Jesus was a socialist, or what it means that people are forming real attachments to AI companions.

The rule of the show is that both sides get stated properly before either gets answered. Joshua works the argument, the data and the counter-case. Kristin works the human cost and the pastoral reality. Faith is not saved for a tidy closing thought; it runs through the whole conversation, with Catholic Social Teaching doing real work rather than decorating the end.

You will not always agree with where they land. That is fine. Nobody here is trying to end the argument, only to have it honestly.

The hosts

Two very different ways in.

Joshua

Analytical anchor

Joshua builds the case. He brings the sources, the numbers and the uncomfortable counter-argument, and he would rather be corrected than be comfortable.

Kristin

Pastoral and relational voice

Kristin keeps asking who this actually happens to. She is the reason the show never reduces a person to a position.

Think they got it wrong?

Good. Tell them. Pushback from listeners is where a decent share of these episodes come from in the first place.
